But at least I'll get something for my losses. I usually bet the minimum pass and then move it up slightly. My biggest plays are betting across and 3x, 4x and 5x's odds on the pass. That whole cruise I could never get a on a good roll, pun intended.
Nobody could as we played with the same players the whole trip. Except for the annoying people who decided to play for the first time ever and constantly place bets with their hands on the table while the dice were out and being thrown. God that's so annoying. They should have 2 craps tables, one for beginners and one for the people who consistently play throughout the cruise.
If this is anything like a land based casino, it isn't based on how much you lost but on how much you risked. Your play is tracked bet size, time, etc but the outcome isn't a factor. I got the free cruise offer and didn't even spend enough on my last 7 day cruise to cash points out at the end and I even started off with points left from my previous cruise. Seems like a good deal, but don't think I'm gonna go since the available dates are not convenient.
Would be convenient if the ship left from the West Coast though Very true Most people just use the term "lost" somewhat generically when talking about their casino play. But the offers will come whether you actually walk away winning or losing, since the casino knows full well they'll get their slice of every dollar you put in play, no matter what the result.
For the casino, it's always a "winning" business. You need to be a member in order to leave a comment. Sign up for a new account in our community. It's easy! Already have an account? Sign in here. NCL only offers a selection of basic Pepsi products. This does not include any Dr. Pepper products. Dew, and Ginger Ale. And, the inability to get anything in a bottle or can limits the overall utility of the package for us.
The only way we could get canned soda was to order them through room service which would not be covered by the NCL drink package, and would incur a fee. We probably consumed far less of our preferred beverages than we otherwise would have, but we did not abandon them completely. Note: Norwegian does offer a drink package that includes all of the preferred drinks noted above. So, by the end of the week, we ended up with quite few beverage charges on our account.
Over the course of the week, I probably had less than 10 beverages that were actually covered by the NCL drink package. In retrospect, one possible way to address that would be to bring our own sealed cups or thermoses.
Many cruise lines only allow you to get one drink at a time, so this is liberal. Presumably you could ask for fountain drinks without ice and pour them into your own closed container. This would at least address the issue of having convenient access to beverages. Selecting the promotional NCL drink package could still end up being a net positive value in many circumstances. If you have any beverages beyond two alcoholic beverages each day, you would come out ahead.
You would start to save money with pretty much any third drink. This would be true whether the third drink were alcoholic or not. The same math works out if the two guests receiving the promotional drink package are a regular drinker and a light drinker or non-drinker. It would seem effortless for two people to drink adult beverages between the two of them. You would only start to see a price break once you consumed your 7th max-price drink of the day. And that would have to be 7 drinks actually consumed on the ship itself.
Typical drinks are much less than that. So you would have to drink more than 10 of that price level drink daily to start seeing any savings. Pin Share Tweet. Start Here. Cruise Accessories. Cruising With Babies.
